Engineered for automotive repair, the Freedom Sentinel welds all types of steel. It’s great for MIG brazing and welding high-strength steel and galvanized sheet metal, and it lets you weld stainless steel and aluminum too. Plus, with the easy-to-use control panel, you can quickly adjust the settings and start welding right away.
Intelligent Welding – The Synergic Way
The Sentinel is smart. With its synergic software programs, it adjusts itself to your preferences in order to produce the highest quality welds possible. Here’s how the Sentinel makes welding easy:
For each specific welding situation (depending on the type of material to be welded, the wire diameter, and the type of welding gas), there is a unique combination of wire speed and voltage that results in the best welds. Simply put, as you increase the wire speed in any specific welding situation, the ideal voltage also increases. When you graph the best combinations of wire speed and voltage, you find an S-shaped curve called a synergic curve.
The Sentinel knows the complete synergic curves for all of the most common welding conditions in automotive repair. Following these pre-programmed curves, the Sentinel automatically varies the voltage to the ideal level as you control the wire speed during the welding process.
When you use the Sentinel, you simply select the type of material to be welded, the wire diameter, and the type of welding gas, and you’re ready to produce high-quality welds!
The Sentinel Learns New Tricks
Not only is the Sentinel ready for all of today’s welding needs, but it’s also prepared for the demands of tomorrow. The Sentinel’s new control circuit contains an advanced microprocessor that lets you expand the machine’s synergic programs through simple Internet downloads. As new synergic curves become available, the Sentinel’s built-in software continues to help you achieve the optimal combination of wire speed and voltage for all of your welds. Both now and in the future, Freedom helps you work efficiently.
Get Your Guns
The Sentinel is available with three different guns for working on different types and thicknesses of materials. Choose from the powerful MIG gun for everyday use, the heavy-duty MIG gun for high-volume MIG brazing of galvanized steel, or the push-pull gun for aluminum MIG welding. |
